In September, Mayor Karen Bass appointed Patrice Lattimore, previously the City’s Chief Legislative Analyst, as the City’s new City Clerk. Her nomination was approved by the City Council Sept. 16. She replaces former City Clerk Holly Wolcott, who retired in January.
With more than two decades of experience within the Office of the City Clerk, Patrice Lattimore will serve to keep the City at the forefront of technological advancements, ensuring the delivery and access of information to the public, guaran teeing transparency and supporting the City’s policymakers, according to a statement from the Mayor’s Office.
“I am honored to be appointed by Mayor Bass as the next City Clerk,” Patrice said. “With elections in the coming year and the City’s Charter Reform Commission under way, I’m excited to deliver the innovation and transparency that Angelenos deserve from their municipal government.”
As Chief Management Analyst within the Office of the City Clerk, she developed and implemented a comprehensive, innovative legislative management system and improved language inclusion by increasing accessibility to Spanish language services for all Council and Committee meetings.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and later earned her master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Los Angeles Pacific University.
Congratulations from the Club on your promotion, Patrice!
