Open Enrollment for Club’s Short-Term Disability Plan is now open exclusively for eligible LADWP employees. Thru March 31, 2026.
Open Enrollment for the Club’s Short- Term Disability (STD) insurance plan, underwritten by Manhattan Life, is now open for eligible LADWP employees. This limited enrollment window gives LADWP employees the opportunity to secure valuable paycheck protection designed to help replace a portion of income if they are unable to work due to a covered illness, injury or medical condition.
The Manhattan Life STD plan provides monthly benefits of up to $3,500, depending on the plan selected, and is intended to help cover everyday expenses such as housing, utilities, groceries, and other essential costs during a temporary disability.
Guaranteed Issue During Open Enrollment
During this Open Enrollment period, eligible LADWP employees qualify for Guaranteed Issue coverage, meaning:
- No medical exams
- No health questions
- No physician statements
This is a valuable opportunity, as future enrollment may require medical under- writing, and eligibility could be affected by changes in health.
