On Dec. 3, Cal OES hosted emergency managers from across the state for its third annual Operational Area (OA) Emergency Management Summit – an interactive and informative gathering geared toward serving Californians before, during and after disasters.
The meeting, held at the Cal OES State Operations Center in Mather, for emergency managers across the state’s 58 counties, focused on improving disaster preparedness, response, and recovery through sharing best practices, discussing lessons learned, and training for future events like climate-driven disasters or CBRNE incidents.
