FOUR EMPLOYEES HONORED FOR SAVING THE LIFE OF A FIFTH.

On Feb. 12, General Services had an awards presentation to honor three General Services employees and one LAPD Security Services Division contractor for saving the life of a coworker.

The employees were from the General Services Management Information Services Division, and the LAPD Security Officer was from the Security Services Division. The team was celebrated for its courageous, selfless actions, which occurred on Jan. 9, 2025, when they acted swiftly and decisively to intervene in a life-threatening situation by administering CPR and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

In a moving ceremony at City Hall South, the heroes were presented with special certificates in recognition of their bravery and quick thinking. The award ceremony not only acknowledged their remarkable actions, but also served as an inspiring reminder of the dedication and sense of duty that public service employees uphold daily.

THE HONOREES WERE:

Security Officer Kendra Williams, LAPD

Adam Aguirre, General Services

Ryan Quan, General Services

Lance Shoho, General Services

Well done, General Services and LAPD heroes for your quick actions!
