On Feb. 28, CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit’s Kitchen Crew took home the People’s Choice Best Chili award at the Battle of the Badges 911 Chili Cook-off!
The event took place at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.
The team, led by Brandon Flynn, put in a ton of work to make it happen – from perfecting a winning (and seriously delicious) chili recipe, to building out the booth, and coordinating to have the crew bus onsite for the event.
The winning recipe? It’s Brandon’s award-winning “spot fire” chili, which definitely brought the heat.
We congratulate the Kitchen Crew on their victory, and also to the crew that produced the Badges-911 Chili Cookoff for creating and managing the fun event.
