Behind every World Cup match in California was a team of people working together to help keep fans, visitors, and communities safe. Here, California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Director Caroline Thomas Jacobs visited the OES team at the FIFA LA Joint Tournament Operations Center and Joint Information Center, where local, state, and federal partners coordinated in real time to support a safe and memorable World Cup experience across California.

West Los Angeles CHP Officers participated in escorting the United States Men’s National Soccer Team as they made their way to the Los Angeles Stadium (SoFi) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Officers were honored to assist in ensuring the safe movement of teams and visitors during this historic event.
LASD Transit Services Bureau
LA County Sherrif’s Dept. Transit Services Bureau Deputies took time to connect with soccer fans traveling aboard the Metro system ahead of the highly anticipated USA vs. Paraguay FIFA World Cup match.
As thousands of supporters made their way to the game, Deputies proudly posed for photos, shared in the excitement, and helped ensure a safe and enjoyable transit experience for everyone.
