Club CEO Robert Larios was a special guest at a prominent ribbon-cutting in downtown Los Angeles. On Sept. 3, he helped open the Los Angeles campus of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. It is the school’s first campus outside its traditional home in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The University of Michigan, a public institution, employs public servants. The Club honors and celebrates all public employees.
Larios earned his Executive MBA degree from Michigan Ross. In 2024, the school named him the Graduate of the Last Decade; as part of its rationale, it cited the Club’s high level of service to its Members, its engaging staff, and its status as one of the top independent associations serving the public sector in the United States.
The Club’s Director of Public Relations, Noelle Shayan, is currently a student in Michigan Ross’ Executive MBA program and plans to graduate in May 2027.
The Ross School of Business was named the No. 1 executive education provider in the United States in the Financial Times’ 2026 ranking of EE programs worldwide, the school said. Its new 20,000-square-foot space in The Grand LA is expected to host Executive Education programs and act as a West Coast hub for alumni and corporate partners.
“I’m proud to welcome Michigan Ross to downtown LA, and to be our new neighbor,” Robert Larios said. “The Club is honored to be recognized as a national leader in association service excellence. Our presence at the ribbon cutting emphasized that recognition.
“Excellence welcomes excellence!”
The Club extends its warm welcome, Michigan Ross School of Business.
