AGM JAY KIM RETIRES AFTER 35 YEARS OF CITY SERVICE.
Assistant General Manager Jay Kim, head of mobility management, retired from Transportation July 1 after 35 years of City service.
Assistant General Manager Tommy Carranza has taken his place.
Jay retires with more than 35 years of service in transportation planning and engineering with the City. He managed the transportation review of large-scale development projects including Playa Vista, the LAX Master Plan, and NBC Universal. He oversaw Transit Operations, Parking Management, Parking Violations and Adjudication Bureaus, and Taxicab, Medical Transport and Pipeline Franchises and Permits.
