WATER AND POWER WINS TWO STAR AWARDS FOR VIDEO PROGRAMMING.

The LADWP’s video production team – under the Communications and Community Affairs unit — won two STAR Awards Oct. 2 for excellence in government video programming during a recent independent association presentation.

SCAN-NATOA — the Southern California and Nevada chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisers – awarded two STAR Awards at a ceremony held Oct. 2 on the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

The LADWP team took second place in the water category for a production titled “Tap-Off Safety and Emergency Preparedness Fair 2025,” and an honorable mention in the diversity, equity and inclusion category for a production titled “Pride Parade 2024.”

Last month, we reported that ITA’s Channel 35 team took home top honors for three of its programming at the same ceremony.

The STAR Awards, organized by SCAN NATOA, recognize excellence in government video programming across California and Nevada.

Congrats to the LADWP team!
