On Nov. 14 – one day after the United States ended the government shutdown, which crippled the nation’s aviation industry – LAX brought back Pink’s Hot Dogs to say thanks to federal employees who worked extra hard to keep things functioning.
Pink’s Hot Dogs had a restaurant at LAX years ago. But this was strictly private for federal workers only.
“Federal employees … are the heartbeat of the airport,” LAX said in a social post. “We’re grateful for everything you do to keep travelers safe and moving.”
The Club salutes all federal employees who never stopped working, and Airports for the class act of showing its gratitude.
