It’s Tim’s Time

ITA held a farewell celebration Jan. 14 for Tim Lee, Chief Information Security Officer and Club Member, who’s retiring after 30 years of service and unwavering dedication to protecting the City’s digital assets.

To farewell event was a heartfelt gathering filled with stories highlighting Tim’s calm leadership during critical moments, his commitment to excellence, and his legacy of building the Information Security Office—an effort that transformed the City’s cybersecurity program, according to the ITA newsletter.

“I am deeply grateful,” Tim said. “The City of L.A. gave me the best 30 years of my life. The City gave me opportunities and mostly trust. I grew here. I want to thank the City of L.A. It’s been an honor to be a CISO.”

The celebration included remarks from several esteemed colleagues and leaders, including General Manager and CIO Ted Ross, Daniel Clark Lee, Tony Zhong of the Port of Los Angeles, and many others, all of whom spoke to Tim’s leadership and lasting influence.
