SGT. HELPS DELIVER A BABY ON THE FREEWAY.
On Oct. 21 during the overnight detail, CHP/ Stockton Sgt. Heather Bonnett delivered a baby.
Sgt. Bonnett used her medical training and an OB kit from her patrol car to help deliver a baby boy. A mother herself, she had never helped deliver a baby, she said. Hospital staff later honored her with a DAISY Award pin.
