AMADOR COUNTY CAPT.CODY MARTINSEN HASBEEN PROMOTED TOBATTALION CHIEF IN THE CAMINO EMERGENCY COMMAND CENTER. 

His fire service career began in 2007 with the Jackson Fire Dept., where he served as a Fire Captain, Training Officer, and interim Fire Chief. He joined CAL FIRE in 2020 as a Fire Captain at Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp before transferring to the Camino ECC in 2023, where he supported CAD administration and training for new ECC Fire Captains.

Dedicated to training and safety, Cody serves on multiple committees and cadres, is a certified California State Fire Training Instructor for more than 15 courses, and holds numerous operational and leader ship qualifications. He earned an Associate of Science degree in fire science from Columbia Southern University and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in emergency administration.

Born and raised in Amador County, Cody continues to serve his community while living in Jackson with his wife and children. Congratulations from the Club, Battalion Chief Martinsen, on your promotion!
